Land
& Sea’s Data Acquisition Dynamometer Conversions allow upgrading older analog
and hydraulic dynamometers with state-of-the-art computerized data collection
and engine control. DYNOmite Data Acquisition Computers, transducers, and
control electronics deliver a price/performance ratio formerly unheard of in
professional dynamometer test systems.
Give your existing dynamometer a new lease on
life.

Typical
conversion kits include DYNOmite data
acquisition computer with from 3 to over 112 channels (with or without optional
LCD display and pushbutton handheld interface), full-bridge strain gauge
equipped electronic load cell torque transducer, AC power supply/recharger, data
wiring harness, engine temperature thermistor, and protective case.
DYNOmite
Data Acquisition Electronics automatically
capture true torque, RPM, elapsed time, etc., while calculating Hp at up to
1,000 readings per second (that’s per channel, not just a total). They can even
be set to automatically apply Standard SAE correction factors for air
temperature, barometric pressure, and relative humidity. This eliminates running
engines to death while trying to manually record all the data. Handheld
DYNOmite models display results on their LCDs and can
print to an optional portable battery powered printer. No prior computer
knowledge is required to start testing and analyzing data like the pros.
DYNO-MAX
2000™ Software
option creates a full engine dynamometer lab console on your PC.
Features include: real-time trace graph display, adjustable visual and voice
limit warnings, pushbutton controls, user configurable analog and digital gauge
ranges, plus incredibly powerful post test data analysis tools. (Click
here
for a full list of features.)
Integrate your PC
using DYNO-MAX with appropriate automated electronic load and
throttle control hardware options for keyboard dyno control. Without special
programming, operators can easily execute complex race simulations and engine
test cycles. No other system adapts and expands so easily to virtually any level
of testing sophistication.
Affordable
expansion upgrades (up to 112+ channels)
include: fuel flow and airflow turbines, brake
specific fuel
consumption, brake
specific air consumption, air/fuel
ratio, exhaust
gas temperature, engine
temperature thermistors, air
temperature, humidity,
barometric pressure, sparkplug thermocouple kits, pressure transducers, 0-5 volt auxiliary inputs (for
wide band air/fuel ratio sensors, knock sensors, etc.) and outputs, high-speed
cylinder pressure mapping, and both servo load and throttle control options.
Like the DYNOmite itself, these upgrades won’t eat your entire testing budget.
Available
torque sensors include full-bridge
(temperature compensated) strain gauge S-beam load cells, high resolution
pressure transducers, and wireless rotary torque transducers. All are
maintenance free and feature semi-automatic pushbutton zero offset calibration.
Conversions can usually retain the system’s original torque sensor and display
in parallel with the new electronics.
Forget inaccurate paper and pencil
logging, throw out that DOS based software and
get professional one person operation. Owners of older analog Clayton, Dynojet,
Froude, Go Power, K & O, Maha, Maxwell, Mustang, Stuska,
Sun Road-a-Matic, SuperFlow, etc. brakes and rollers can
take advantage of most DYNOmite and DYNO-MAX features without purchasing new
absorbers or engine stands.
Advanced standard features
including: “Smart Record™,” data dampening, spike filtering,
playback data averaging, atmospheric correction, auto-zeroing, instant
playback, and integral rev-limiter.
DYNO-MAX control functions
include: water brake, hydraulic, AC, or eddy current absorber
load control, throttle position torque control, and switched relays to control
fuel pump(s), engine starter, cell blower, water supply, N2O injection, etc.
Choose from “canned” cycles, or customize tests with its highly advanced custom
automated test editor.
Electronic load and throttle control
options – just push buttons to select the test
RPM, or set a sweep rate and the DYNOmite’s advanced PID algorithm runs the whole
show – hands free.
Inexpensively
update your old analog dyno for the new
millennium. Computerization eliminates the need for two people to “try” to
monitor operation of your dyno. Today’s front runners are already scrutinizing
every line of dyno data; don’t be left behind!
Doubles
as a race recorder to capture all your standard
dyno data - at the track. Special “on-vehicle” sensor options include: forward
and lateral Gs, distance, MPH, MPG, shift ratio, transmission slip, ETs, 0-5
volt auxiliary inputs (for lambda sensors, suspension travel, etc.), wireless
rotating driveshaft torque and Hp, OBD-II data, and GPS location (maps the
vehicle’s position via orbiting satellites). Radio modem telemetry is available
to broadcast track data back to your race pit crew’s laptop.
Live person technical phone support
provides a significant advantage over other companies’ obnoxious
“voice mail” runarounds. Our standard hardware phone and e-mail support, plus
access to the special DYNOmite owners 24/7 web support area, are all FREE!
